This is the main toolbar for accessing all dashboard builder options. You can manage layouts, use templates, select formatting options, and add sensor tiles. You can also add other dashboard elements such as charts, gauges, and text boxes. If you wish, you can even share your layout as a template for other WeatherWizz members to use in their dashboards.
In most cases, clicking on an icon will take you to a sub toolbar for a range of options. Simply click the back arrow to return to the main toolbar.
To the right of the toolbar is a SAVE icon. This icon appears whenever there have been any new changes made. Use this to regularly save any changes you make to your dashboard. Make sure to save your dashboard before opening it in live view mode. Live view only displays what was last saved.
[Layouts] Create, duplicate, rename, delete, and manage different layouts. Each layout has a unique web address. This is especially useful if you want different dashboards for specific purposes (e.g., different rooms in your home) or for different screen sizes, such as tablets or phones. Please note: Access to multiple layouts depends on the subscription plan you are on.
[Formatting options] This is where you can select options that apply across the dashboard. For example, you can set your dashboard background color or image. You can apply predefined styles to give your dashboard a complete look.
You can also select or search for dashboard templates. These can be a great way to get started, which you can then tweak or adjust for your purposes. You can use WeatherWizz official templates or search for templates that have been uploaded and shared by other WeatherWizz members.
[Sensor tile without sidebar] This is a basic sensor tile where you can display a sensor and its data. Clicking this icon will take you to four differently sized tiles. Click these and a sensor tile will appear on the dashboard. Keep clicking for multiple tiles. You can easily delete any tiles by clicking the “X” on the tile. While these tiles have a predefined size, they can be easily modified in size by dragging the bottom left of the box up/down/right/left.
After adding a sensor tile, then simply click on the tile to bring up options for configuring it, including choosing the sensor to display, its name, the unit to display (e.g., mm or inches), colors, and formatting.
You can also add visual alerts. When enabled, visual alerts will cause the sensor tile to flash when the data meets particular thresholds or conditions, such as above or below a particular temperature. You can choose what these conditions are. You can add multiple conditions and even have these flash a different color depending on the condition.
[Sensor tile with sidebar] This is similar to the other type of sensor tile except that it contains a sidebar. The sidebar provides additional options, such as displaying an icon, the sensor unit (e.g., mm or in), and a trend arrow. The trend arrow indicates whether the sensor value has increased, decreased, or stayed the same since it last updated.
After adding a sensor tile, simply click on it to bring up options for configuring it, including choosing the sensor to display, its name, the unit to display (e.g., mm or inches), colors, formatting, and more.

[Additional sensor tiles] This is where you can add other kinds of tiles to your dashboard. You can add charts, gauges, a wind rose, icons, and the date/time. After adding a tile, such as a chart, simply click on it to bring up options for configuring it, including choosing the sensor to display, its name, the unit to display (e.g., mm or inches), colors, formatting, and more.
For some of these tiles, such as charts and gauges, you can also add visual alerts. When enabled, visual alerts will cause the sensor tile to flash when the data meets particular thresholds or conditions, such as above or below a particular temperature. You can choose what these conditions are. You can add multiple conditions and even have these flash a different color depending on the condition.
[Text box] This is where you can add a text box. For example, you can add a text box at the top to display the name of your dashboard or weather station. You can also add further text boxes to provide other information, such as giving a name to groups of sensors (e.g., outdoor and indoor sensors) or the type of room or area the sensors are in (e.g., kitchen sensors, upstairs sensors).
After adding a text box, simply click on it to bring up options for configuring it, including the text, colors, and formatting.
[Share this layout with WeatherWizz members] If you wish to, you can share your dashboard layout as a template for other WeatherWizz members to use in their dashboards.
After clicking this icon, you will be taken to a window that will ask you to give the new template a name and list some keywords to help other members find it. This is a two-step process. The system will first generate a preview of the template. After this, you will be taken to a new window that displays the preview. If, at this point, you are happy to share it, just click “Share” and your template will be added to the WeatherWizz community templates.
[Open live view] Simply click this to see your dashboard live. Your dashboard will be assigned a unique web address, which you can then use and bookmark to access your dashboard from any computer, tablet, or phone.
You can open up the live view any time, and not only when you have finished building your dashboard. For example, opening it up during the editing phase can be useful to get the look just right, especially if you need to make some adjustments when viewing it on a particular tablet or phone.
NOTE: Please make sure you SAVE your dashboard before opening the live view. The live view will only display what was last saved.
